Music Therapy for Inclusion (MTI) is an approach that was developed in Italy out of research and practice of group music therapy in mainstream schools. Its main function is that of a tool for integration – inclusion, promoting healthy emotional and cognitive development. MTI is a holistic approach that looks at the individual and the group as a whole, interconnected system. This means that MTI aims to promote all aspects of human development in both the personal and collective dimensions.
